• ford focus 1.6 diesel 2010 - turbo engine problem 31 Jul 2014 (Forum)
   However the engine malfunction has been coming on frequently since then sometimes after 5 miles or after 50 it also says it needs a oil service.  The local garage now have it but had no idea so they contacted Ford.  Ford said it was either thebturbo or the EG something or other, the RAC guy said the turbo was working fine.  Has anyone got any idea what it could be.  Dont want the garage to put in a new turbo if its caused by something else.

  Having read the previous thread on 'night before' de icers, and the various methods to de ice the car widscreen in the morning why is the quick clear windscreen as fitted to Ford vehicles not available on other makes of car? They appear on Fords, Jaguar and I presume other marques that have been or are still in Ford ownership. The quick clear windscreen is a very good safety feature, is convenient and seems a nonsense that it's not standard fitment to all cars.

  I recently got a new / used ford fiesta 1.3 unleaded petrol car, the clutch pedal occasioanlly gets stuck down and i have to lift it with my foot to change gear, it normally just does this when getting in to first ie at traffic lights, traffic, so i normally get the hand brake up ... anyway, seems to make a few strange noises i can mell burning and the WHITE SMOKE wont stop coming out of the exhaust ... anyone???

  The Haynes manual says you have to remove the glove box for access. I have just had this car serviced by a Ford main dealer and was charged for a new pollen (odour) filter. However, I am certain the glove box has not been removed, so am wondering if the filter has actually been changed.  Access seems pretty difficult, even with the glove box removed, but have Ford found a different way of doing it, or have I been conned?
