  The turbo diesels seem to cost more to buy,and they are more to insure,and Ive also read that the turbo`s can go wrong,whereas the non turbo`s are cheaper to buy/insure,in theory less to go wrong on them.but ultimately less power.They both seem to give a similar mpg,any thoughts much appreciated,Tony

  I have replaced the rear drums and shoes, both sides, with new ones. I have adjusted the self-adjusters. The n/s brake locks on a gravel track at low speed, the o/s one does not - it still comes on though. What can I do to balance the braking effort? I need an MOT most urgently!

  My boss has 17" 'Thor' alloys on his 2002 V70 2.4 SE and would prefer 16"ers (better ride comfort for all the motorway miles he does). Is there anyone out there (with say a V70 S or even an S60 S) who would be interested in swopping from the smaller Mimas / Electra or similar 16 inchers to the 17" Thors? Condition of his wheels is average - there are a few parking 'dings' and I would need to check on tyre condition.

  Hi, apart from the 'red eye', how can you tell if a passat TDi for instance is really a 110, and they havent just stuck a different badge on bootlid? The reason i ask, is I've tried getting some insurance quotes for so called 110's for sale, but on entering reg.no the database shows them as 90's. Would the log book show whether they were 90 or 110? Thanks

  My opinion of these, is they should rename them as (deleted) , I have never driven a car as bad as these, the gearbox winds just like the old \'CityMetro\', the suspension bottoms on bad ruts in the road at the front and the list goes on.   SHMBO MX-5 o/s indicators have stopped working, I've had the relay out and this has two relays, presumably one for the left/right indication and one for the hazard warning lights. The car has 3 indicators each side front/rear and side repeater, none of the o/s indicators work, yet the relay clicks albeit faster - this sounds like an earthing problem or am I missing something?

  Main dealer has always used a fully synthetic oil (Esso Ultron). New dealer offers a choice of Mobil Super S (Semi) or Mobil 1 (fully) IIUI Mobil Super S (semi) is the MB recommended oil, but Mobil 1 is also approved for use. As the car has always used fully synthetic - am I right it thinking that the best choice would be to go with mobil 1?

  After a few months I decided the rear-end skittishness was more than just scuttle-shake, and the local garage found very little pressure remained in the n/s damper, and the o/s one was not a lot better. I have never (knowingly) had any trouble with Peugeot dampers, so is this a cabrio problem, or did the car just have faulty ones from new?
