Insane? 6 Dec 2001 (Forum)
I have a cousin the same age as me (late 20's). We are both spending just over 20 grand this month, me on a very modest 2 bedroom house, him on a BMW 3 series (imported from Germany via the internet). Fair enough, his BMW will look good and turn heads and my new house won't, but in five years time my house will hopefully be worth what I paid for it and his BMW will be worth 5 grand-ish. -
Volvo 960 24V 15 Nov 2001 (Forum)
Re Volvo 960 24V I am thinking of buying another Volvo - I have a 940GLE estate Early 90's 960 24v saloons appear a great bargin at £1500 to £2000. Driven steadly, on mainly motorway runs, what MPG might I get? I can get low 30s out of my 940. Do any readers own 204 BHP 24V 960s, what do they think, what should I look out for? -
MOT madness! 28 Jul 2001 (Forum)
Shocked and saddened I took it to another MOT garage, on the offchance that they may pass it, and guess what, they did - with flying colours. I don`t pretend to know a lot about cars but surely, it`s sad for the average punter who knows nothing about cars and goes to the `wrong` garage and ends up emptying their purses. Surely there must be some sort of overseeing body that looks after these MOT test operations? -
Ford Fiesta 1.2L Style from 2006 - £1115 service for old car :-( 17 Jan 2025 (Forum)
For the past 6 years that I owned a 2006 Ford Fiesta. A typical annual service+MOT cost has been = £250 to £350. This year however, the cost sky rocketed to a whopping £1115 on account of the car needing a new starter motor, one new engine bracket, new suspension spring on near side, headlight beam correcting, 2 new tyres+wheel alignment, oil/filter change - and the MOT itself. -
Ford Fusion - Coolant leak 11 Jul 2024 (Forum)
Our trusty old Ford Fusion (2003 - 1.6 petrol engine) has been leaking coolant for a couple of years now, and we simply top it up every week or two with about 100 ml of coolant. The coolant drips from the bottom of the engine sump, but seems to be coming from higher up somewhere behind the AC compressor. -

Ford fiesta - Problem with indicators 13 Sep 2023 (Forum)
Hey everyone I have a ford fiesta and I've enumerated many of its faults in many threads here. One, that I've had since owning it is really starting to raise my dander. When I put the left indicator on, it stays on until I take it off (by pushing the stalk up), physically. -

Why MPVs gone out of fashion? 22 May 2021 (Forum)

Ford Focus 64 plate 1.6 TDCI - Engine temperature fluctuating. Thermostat? 11 Dec 2019 (Forum)
Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'd love some help with my 64 plate Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI. I've had the car for about 3 years and I've not had this issue before. The engine seems to take a while to heat up, but when it does it only reaches about 75 degrees on the temperature gauge before it then drops back down again and hovers around 65. -

Ford KA 2002 collection copper 1.3 - Replacement central locking key 14 Nov 2019 (Forum)
Hi all I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what I can do... I have a 2002 ford KA with central locking but bought it without the remote central locking key all I have is the spare key which is the master key with the red dot, it doesn't work very well either meaning it locks the car fine in both passengers and drivers doors but when unlocking the car the drivers door doesn't work only the passenger door let's me unlock, so I was wondering if I buy a replacement central locking key fob suitable for my car will i be able to program this fob just to unlock the car? -
Ford focus mk2 - MOT fail on engine management light 1 Nov 2018 (Forum)
My 2005 Ford focus mk2 failed it's MOT on the engine management light coming on. Engine management light was on when I got it and had been on for several years before with it lavishly just being an advisory but it obviously failed this time due to the MOT changes in March which I hadn't previously known about. -

Ford Focus 2003 - Airbag Light & Wiring Problem! Please HELP someone 17 Jun 2016 (Forum)
Hey everyone. So I have a 2003 Ford Focus which has been running absolutely fine, no warning lights or anything until the other day. Suddenly the Airbag warning light appeared and has stayed on ever since. I have checked the wiring underneath the seats, and have discovered that my puppy the little rascal, has chewed right through the plastic tubing under the passenger seat, and has chewed straight through the wires. -
Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.4 EAC Fail - very slow acceleration 9 Jan 2016 (Forum)
The car is due in for a service next month so I will mention it, but i've seen a few scare story's with people having to pay over £1000 in parts and still the issue is occurring. (which i don't have tbh). I've read on the ford ST forums that cleaning the throttle body's can sort it, but there is also a problem with the connectors for the pedal sensor (they're fly by wire right?). I assume I'll have to get it into a garage to get the fault code checked out, but I don't want to go through the whole process of them finding no problems and replacing bits for fun. -

Ford Fiesta " T " Reg with air con - Fluid Leak from Air Vent in Footwell 25 Nov 2014 (Forum)
I have recently noticed that there is alot of water in the footwells of my ford fiesta. I first noticed this some time ago but throught it was just excess rain coming in. However since this time the heater blow has become dysfunctional. To this end I changed the COOLANT VALVE however this has not corrected the problem. -
Ford Fiesta (Endura-E) - Sudden large valve clearance? 4 Jun 2014 (Forum)
I've got a P-Reg Ford Fiesta with Endura-E engine. Just before Christmas, on a run into London, it started running really rough. I was able to drive it home (about 100 mile), but it was sounding pretty rough the whole way.
