What is a good small car for a very tall newly qualified driver?

What is a good (cheap to run, low insurance) small car for a newly qualified driver? They are 6' 5" tall and our First 500 is a bit tight for them!

It's not fashionable but a Honda Jazz could be a good choice - they're very spacious for a small car and insurance prices tend to be reasonable (not many young people drive them!). Alternatively, look at something more conventional like a Ford Fiesta or Volkswagen Polo.
