• Help with choosing a Coupé 4 Mar 2016 (Forum)
  I'm looking for some help . . . I'm thinking of getting rid of my MINI Cooper S, but I'm not sure of what to get next. I've got £5,000 to spend. At the moment I'm caught between: • Mercedes C220 CDI, • Mercedes CLK 270 CDI, • Mercedes C180 Kompressor, • Audi TT 180/225, • Alfa GT, • Toyota Celica 1.8 VVT-i, • BMW 320 CD, • BMW 320 Ci, • Volvo C30 R-Design, • Mazda MX5 1.8i, Any help with positives and negatives would be appreciated.

  Have found, like others here that traffic conditions and parking problems combined with bus lanes and strict parking enforcement has driven me (geddit) onto the local buses for lots of things, so as the bus pass is free i am saving quite a bit and it just happens to be 5 mins to one supermarket and about 15 to the other. even if swmbo comes it is still cheaper than parking in the centre. Colchester isn,t as bad as tooting but it,s less stress to get the bus. I NEVER thought i would say that.

      Checked all fuses all ok as is the resisters,  [ what are the resisters for at right of drivers leg room for , as I have not checked them ]  How does one get to the Blower ? my Daewoo CD,   states remove, S/wheel. Airbag, control cluster etc,  Coo !BIG JOB !!! Would really appreciate some help , and Info, [ Freezing my Nuts of in it at the moment !                       Thanks Mobimbi

  the a/con was noisy , took it to honda dealship ,as iwas told honda knew about the fault , and had added exra 7 year warranty on a/ con clutch,but hona dealer checked and the warranty was only on the petrol version, an quoted me  £369 for clutch and £200 fitting.i went on e.bay and found a compny in manchester ,who supplied me with a completr genuine honda compressr, at the cost of £ 405 ,and delivered next day if anyone has the same problem you know what to do hope this is s useful ken

  My car failed its not last week on the handbrake being unbalanced % wise,mechanic removed rear calipers found n/s partially seized, cleaned and freed the caliper off,installed new pads, took back the car and it passed,problem I have is now no handbrake at all,handbrake lever clicks 5-6 clicks,really need advice,much isn't gonna see me again after leaving my car in this state,don't trust him

  Hi,the clutch pedal on my Golf gets stuck on the way up about halfway,then it either pops back the rest of way on its own,or I help it up with my foot.Just had the master cylinder changed,as I had low bite point on clutch,the sticky pedal was there before changing master cylinder,but its now worse.Any ideas what`s causing this?

  My December 2010 Corsa D 1.2i (85) petrol manual has done 8000 miles and engine makes a faint ticking noise,  barely discernible above tyre noise when driving but quite noticeable when idling at rest. Think I've heard similar noise on other similar 1.2's  in car parks etc.  (Similar engine,  79 bhp,  in my previous 2005 Corsa  C,  ran beautifully quietly).  Is this anything to worry about?

  HELP!!! Immobiliser nightmare I've had my s reg mk4 a week now. Yesterday I drove to my mums a mile down the road did what I needed to do and when I went to start the car again the immobiliser kicked in. My step dad plugged the diagnostic machine in and erased it but it did nothing.
• Peugeot 307 - Flexible Pipe Hanging Down Underneath 11 Sep 2012 (Forum)
  This is a pipe / hose approx 1ft in length with a diameter of about 10cm. It has a ribbed / flexible section, which is similar to bendy straws. It has an S clip on it which I presume connects to a similar pipe near by but has unclipped itself. Area is the underside roughly below where the gear stick is. Pipe is dry; not dripping liqud. Haven't jacked it up to have a good look.

  We don't do many miles so am not too bothered with the extra fuel comsumption of a petrol one - and have seen a couple of 430's with LPG conversions and have had gas vehicles before. Does anyone have any advice of what to look for, avoid etc. as I don't really want to get caught with my pants down but I know that the build quality (apparently) isn't up to the usual standard.

  I am considering buying a 2.4 petrol Accord, but have heard that certain Honda engines require their tappets adjusted periodically. Does this only apply only to the high performance engines (S 2000) or would the Accord 2 litre & 2.4 petrol engines also require this adjustment. If this is the case, could someone please advise what mileage intervals this adjustment would be required and the approximate cost by a main dealer.

  Shortly after buying my 306 in 1998 I had the problem of the airbag warning light coming on and was told it needed a new wiring loom at the front (appartently it was too short from the start in many 306's) and although it would have been done under warrenty I couldn't face the trauma!! They fixed the fault which they said was on the seatbelt pretensioner connection which did the trick for 3 years but it has started coming on again now.

  with the weather predictions I am giving serious consideration to winter rubber. what if any, is the difference between a winter tyre and a M+S tyre ? I've looked at the ADAC test results but I would expect germany to get much more snow than we do, so are they applicable ? where is a good source for winter tyres (Ripon/york/teesside area)?
