Hi , can anyone advise me please . My cluth and gear box are shot on my P reg Polo and i do not really think it would be worth repairing .

So I now i am after an hatchback / Small Estate Disel Car and have around £2500 - £3500 to spend .

I need the car for work so need somthing reliable (and cheap to run) as i buy and sell from auction houses around the country

Any help would be much appreciated

At this price condition matters more than make and model: only buy a diesel if your annual mileage will be high, as older diesels can be expensive to repair when they go wrong.

If you want na suggestion on make, think about a Ford Focus hatchback or estate. There are lots of them around to choose from, and try to find one that has a service history.

HJ loves the Honda Jazz. Safest at that price are small Asian ones with petrol engines, so I keep reading.
