  I have a ford focus 2010 (mk2 facelift / mk2.5).. my air conditioning seems to be 'clicking' on and off whilst driving which causes a change in acceleration. The AC light remains illuminated and whilst idling, I can hear the condenser is on but can hear a click under acceleration which goes when I turn the AC off.

  First timer here and hoping someone might be able to help with a problem I'm having with my Ford Focus. I have recently blanked the EGR valve on my 2006 Focus 1.6 TDCI (DV6 engine) as I heard there were a lot of benefits in doing so. However, after doing it the engine management light comes on and I keep getting 3 fault codes / DTCs pop up.

  Hi, I have just performed the Instrument Cluster Self-Diagnostic Mode on my Ford Focus 2006 Mk2 1.6 LX Petrol. I took note of the DTC codes. The other details, such as speed and temp, etc.., I am not interested in. I have been experiencing an Powertrain light showing intermittently and was hoping this self-diagnostic test would enlighten me to the problem.

  Hi,  We are currently a two car family.  Citroen C1 and Ford Focus 1.6 Petrol Zetec 2009.  We use both cars but mileage is split at 15,000 in Citroen and 5,000 in Focus.  However Citroen is a little tired now so getting rid this weekend.  My dilema is do i keep the Focus which has done 72000 miles and had a water pump and cambelt change recently or consider getting a Dacia Sandero 0.9 Petrol new on a pcp.

  Never owned a diesel, the fuel economy appeals but I read a lot of threads discussing expensive issues with the turbo diesels, e.g. the Ford Focus Estate TDCI1.6 problems, concern me. Would it be better to go with the Focus in the 1.6 petrol unit? My motoring consists mainly of local trips but with longer work-related trips from Nottingham to the Bristol area and back five or six times a month.

  I stopped and called out the breakdown service, the guy came out and started it, and revved it high three times. after that it was fine for a few days, when it went rough while idling again. Its now in the local ford dealer where i bought it from, but they cant figure out what the problem is. they've had it for 3 days! Does anybody have any ideas? i fear that this is going to cost me a fortune, although they did say after the second day they would only charge me for 1.5 hours, and i do have an extended warranty Any help appreciated

  Hi, 2010 reg Fiesta diesel with 101,000 miles when cambelt failed.  Car cut out and no restart.  Relayed to the Ford dealer who has serviced the car from new.  Head sent away for checking and skimmed but on putting the engine back together (over 3 weeks since breakdown!) the garage have now said that the engine won't start at all and that the DPF is blocked which is what caused the cambelt failure.

  I have a diesel 1.6l Ford Fiesta TDCI Zetec and recently, when idle my revs have been dipping down to 750rpm when the idle rev count is usually around 900rpm. It dips about once a second and when it dips I hear a click sound from the engine.
