  . Indeed, iKube has rewarded 75% of policy holders with a reduced renewal price, purely as a reward for sensible behaviour on the road – and it’s given on top of any reductions based on no claims bonus. When drivers take out an iKube policy a black box is fitted to the car, which records lateral g-forces and other information. Additionally, drivers must stay off the road after 11PM. If the black box records good behaviour, with few incidences of high speed cornering, harsh acceleration and sudden braking, then the driver is rewarded with a reduced premium the next year.

  Focus gets new 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine 30 Jan 2012 (News)
  Despite its small size the 1.0-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine delivers as much as 125PS, which is similar to the 1.6-litre petrol Ford currently offers in the range, but with lower emissions and improved economy. Cars fitted with the new engine will be priced from an estimated £16,245 when they go on sale later in February, and will be exempt from VED in the first year. Second year VED rates will rise to £20 for the 100PS version and £30 for the 125PS version.    The 1.0-litre EcoBoost has three cylinders and is offered with two power outputs, 100PS and 125PS.

It achieves this by collating and averaging real world user uploaded figures. So far the results predominantly show that in the real world owners usually return less than the claimed official figures, sometimes significantly so.
