Citroen DS Decapotable (1958 - 1973) (Classics Reviews)
While a few European coachbuilders offered cabriolet Citroen DSs, it was the conversion work of Henri Chapron that was considered the most stylish and elegant – so much so that Citroën added his cars to its own model catalogue in 1961, making it an officially sanctioned conversion. -
Citroen DS and ID (1955 - 1975) (Classics Reviews)

Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer (2018 - 2022) (Reviews)
The three trim levels are Feel, Flair and Touch, and although the Feel has some useful features, including sat-nav, the Flair and Touch models have some more appealing kit such as Park Assist, a panoramic roof and an electric tailgate. Having gone off sale in 2022, the Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer will eventually be replaced by a new model, but until that arrives this version remains a good all-round offering, even though it is essentially a refresh of the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso from 2014. -
Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (2014 - 2018) (Reviews)
The biggest people carrier in Citroen’s range, the Grand C4 Picasso, looks genuinely different from traditional boxy family-movers. Thankfully the designers didn’t forget about practicality. The Grand C4 Picasso is extremely spacious, with mountains of front and rear legroom. -
Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (2007 - 2013) (Reviews)
Good value seven-seat people carrier. Immensely versatile. Easy to drive, good view out for all passengers. Three Isofix fittings across the centre seats. -
Citroen BX 16 Valve (1987 - 1993) (Classics Reviews)
The Citroen BX 16 Valve (or GTI 16V if it's an early one) was launched in 1987, and caught the motoring press by complete surprise. It combined all of the performance of a full-fat sports saloon, with limpet-like roadholding and a near-uncorrupted magic carpet ride. -
Citroen AX GT and GTI (1987 - 1998) (Classics Reviews)
The Citroen AX GT was transformed into a latter-day Mini Cooper thanks to the addition of the brilliant all-aluminium TU-Series engine in 1.4-litre twin-choke carburettor form. ‘Rocky Marciano’ was how the advertisers described it, and they had a point: it was a featherweight that packed a giant-killing punch. -
Citroen DS20, DS21 and DS23 (1966 - 1975) (Classics Reviews)
Since the day it was launched, the Citroen DS had been crying out for more power, and certainly it deserved better engines than those which had been used in the Traction Avant before WW2. From 1965, it started to get them, with the Citroën DS21 being launched in 1966 with a 2175cc engine of 109bhp. -

RUNNING IN A DIESEL: What's the best way to run-in a diesel engine? (FAQs)
However, this does not always work and the extra fuel can instead find its way into the engine sump, contaminating the lube oil and sometimes leading to such a rise in sump oil level that the engine can start to run uncontrollably on its sump oil and will self-destruct. Peugeot/Citroen/Ford diesel engines don't need to get quite as hot as diesels in other makes because they use an additive to help regenerate the DPF. This used to be added to a tank under the back seat, but is now contained in a bladder that needs to be repalce around every 100,000 miles. -

Classic Car Tyres (Article)
As you might expect, the French tyre manufacturer worked closely with domestic car makers and the radial tyre (intially called the X-tyre) was developed for the front-wheel drive Citroen Traction Avant (Michelin had in fact bought Citroen in the 1930s). The radial was a run away success offering superior handling and fuel economy compared to the cross-ply. In 1975, Michelin had another big idea - the TRX ('Tension Repartie' or distributed tension), which proved itself in Formula One with with Renault and Prost and in the world rally championship on the Audi Quattro, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 and Renault 5 Turbo. -
