Import of a used car from EU to UK 12 Mar 2016 (Forum)
Hi, I wondered if anyone had definitive answers to some queries I have: I'm considering buying a 40 year old car that's in The Netherlands, driving it to the ferry at Hook of Holland, and from Harwich back to my house. The car would have a current dutch MOT and whatever their equivalent of Road Tax is, and I would have insurance to cover driving that car in the EU. -
any - Modern petrol Estates - any known vices? 1 Aug 2024 (Forum)
We do everything with the car: short school runs, dog tasks, commutes, and the occasional 300-mile cross-country stint. We covered around 9500 miles last year, which is about right for us going forward. I'm looking with simplicity and travel comfort in mind, up to six years of age, about 520 litres of boot space with seats up, and I don't mind autos or manuals. -

Leon STDi - Temp Sensor & Economy 1 Mar 2005 (Forum)
I have a few questions... 1. is the sensor likely to be knackered providing an inaccurate reading back to the ECU. 2. I have had this car for four years since new and covered almost 100K miles in it. It has always taken longer to reach normal operating temperature than any of my other cars, including its VW Golf cousin with identical engine. -
Peugeot 306 Auto Struggling With Revs 14 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Or are they just trying to rip me off (I suspect that this is not the case as they told me that the previous advice from another Peugeot dealer - that the baffles in my exhaust were gone - was a load of "cobblers"). I'm not too worried about the cost to be honest as I have a warranty that *should* cover both items (if only the warranty office was open outside of Mon-Fri 9-5 - don't they realise that people still drive their cars at the weekend?) Any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm not too hot when it comes to car maintenance - computers yes, cars no :o( Thanks in advance, Adam -
