On show at the Citroen stant, and on sale in the UK from 4 July, Citroën’s new DS4 brings a unique blend of coupé styling, 5-door versatility and an SUV-like driving position to the market. Already voted the ‘Most Beautiful Car of the Year’, this will be the first opportunity for the UK public to see DS4 on display. Visitors willbe able to drive the DS4 at the Moving Motor Show on 30 June. -

A car that has it origins in an amalgam of technologies from the front-wheel drive Truiumph 1300 and the rear-wheel drive Triumph Dolomite . Effectively, the 99 had an overhead cam 1,850 Dolomite-based engine sitting on top of a 1300-based front wheel drive gearbox. The SAAB 99 they find looks all right from a distance, but up close it’s a mess with manky door cards and not running right. -

There is a lovely story behind the Tartan red Mini. It was originally bought by Mrs Millie Properjohns who wanted to learn to drive at the age of 60. Millie finally gave up driving in 2007 at the age of 98 and the car passed on to her daughter who continued to cherish and maintain it to a very high standard, reaching 33,000 miles. -
Audi unveils hydrogen powered h-tron quattro concept 11 Jan 2016 (News)
The h-tron quattro will carry up to four passengers and the cabin is decorated with OLEDs - organic light emitting diodes - with three paper thin touchscreens displaying the instrument brinicle, infotainment and battery status. The futuristic SUV also gets Audi's latest automatous driving tech, with a new video camera, ultrasonic sensors and laser scanners, which will allow the h-tron quattro to drive unaided in slow traffic. It will also be able to park itself. Audi hasn't committed to a launch date of the concept, but the technology could start filtering through to production models from 2017, with the new A8 an obvious candidate. -
Porsche collection uncovered by Anglia Car Auctions 31 Jul 2013 (News)
The first slice of the collection to be offered in August will be barn finds, project cars as well as some still in perfect running order. They range from a 1956 left hand drive 356A Coupe barn find, which still drives, complete with matching engine and chassis numbers, to a 1972 left hand drive 911E project car with US title and UK custom documents. A raft of 911 variants, 912s and 356s complete the line-up. -
Europe’s fastest EV on display at EcoVelocity 28 Jun 2011 (News)
The Bluebird Electric, Europe’s fastest electric vehicle, is set to feature at the EcoVelocity festival on 8-11 September at Battesea Powerstation. EcoVelocity celebrates green motoring and the future of eco driving. The Bluebird Electric is a high performance electric supercar which holds the UK land speed record for electric vehicles, currently 137mph. Don Wales, the grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE, will be driving it at the EcoVelocity event. -

Supercar to launch on St George's Day 11 Mar 2008 (News)
Keating stated: "The event will include a descriptive launch and reveal, followed by acceleration and high-speed demonstration drives at a nearby RAF airfield and cruising drives on fast public roads." This comes after Australian supercar racer Ashley Cooper died during a race earlier this year. Cooper was competing in the Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series in Adelaide when he crashed into a guard rail. -
Motorists 'not aware of environmental issues' 25 Feb 2008 (News)
Findings from the Environmental Transport Association show that almost two-thirds of motorists do not know the amount of CO2 they produce when they drive. Group director Andrew Davis commented that "awareness of the CO2 produced by cars is incredibly low". He added: "A large proportion of people are aware that cars pollute, but may not know how to take the first step towards more environmentally-friendly driving. -

Car battery development alliance forms 23 Nov 2007 (News)
Some 360 million euros (£259.3 million) is to be invested by the companies in order to develop zero-emissions methods for use in automobiles and other equipment. "In the future, there will be parallel use of various automotive drive systems, all the way to purely electric drive. A high-performance lithium-ion battery as the energy carrier will be a key technology," said the expert. This comes as the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association has stated its intent to cut truck emissions. -
Mazda "evolution" continues with new Taiki concept 4 Oct 2007 (News)
While a greater aerodynamic performance and a next-generation rotary engine are under the bonnet, the automaker has stated that the Zoom-Zoom ideology behind Mazda is still in place. "Mazda is offering an exhilarating driving experience with vehicles that achieve Mazda's trademark fun-to-drive performance, allied with outstanding environmental and safety performance," the company commented. Earlier in the year, Mazda revealed that it had been developing new catalytic technology which enabled metal reductions to be made on vehicles employing it. -
