    Fast Fords in Historics 13 th July Classic Car Auction at Brooklands Museum, Weybridge include a rare and original 1971J Ford Escort Twin Cam originally built in Sydney by Ford Australia. This un-mucked-about-with Twin Cam looks very innocent in ‘Q-Car’ Copper Red with five and a half J steel wheels, but has the benefit of being bored out to 1,700cc with a lightened and balanced crankshaft and, of course, twin Weber carburettors.
  • Ferrari Dino set for Race Retro sale 5 Feb 2019 (News)
    A 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT is set to go under the hammer at Race Retro. The car, which is one of 235 UK right-hand drive examples, will head to auction at Stoneleigh Park on 23 February. One of just a few cars finished in Azzurro Dino, the car comes with its Classiche 'Certificato di Autenticita', and will be offered at the auction with a sale estimate of £240,000 to £280,000.
  • Ayrton Senna's restored Van Diemen takes pole position at Race Retro 1 Feb 2019 (News)
    Race Retro’s acting show director Lee Masters said, 'We are deeply honoured to have the Van Diemen at Race Retro and thrilled that our visitors will be the first to get a closer look at this incredible racing car.'     Among 170 classic cars, Historics Auction at Brooklands Museum on 19th May features a ’59 Chevrolet Corvette C1, a ’66 Stingray roadster and a '68 C3 roadster – all 4-speed manual. The Harley Earl styled C1 is a 1959 boat-tailed 283 V8 carburettor 4-speed manual.
  • Jaguar builds its first D-type in more than 60 years 7 Feb 2018 (News)
    Sixty-two years after the last D-type was built, Jaguar has restarted production for a limited run of one of its most competitive cars. In total, Warwickshire-based Jaguar Classic will hand build 25 D-types as continuation cars . Original plans for D-type production in 1955 show 100 were intended to be built – but only 75 cars were completed. The D-type, which won the Le Mans 24 Hours race three times between 1955 and 1957, was powered by the six-cylinder XK engine.

    The entire collection of a recently deceased enthusiast is set to go under the hammer at an auction in his native France – with more than 70 vehicles up for grabs, including classic cars, motorcycles and a fascinating array of children’s pedal cars. Previously stored in a barn in the rural area of Cléguérec, the collection is being sold on Easter Saturday (March 26, 2016) by specialist auction house Jack-Philippe Ruellan.

    RM Auctions scored another record-breaking collection sale, racking up $21.2m for 64 cars sold at the estate of Don Davis in Fort Worth, Texas. Both a Ferrari 330GTS and a Toyota 2000GT broke auction records for two cars that are currently superheating in the market. Bidderd from 14 countries as far disparate as Brazil, Australia, and Kuwait competed strongly for the sale's star lots.

    'This will come as a huge relief to many motorists who are struggling with fuel prices as demonstrated by our research,' added Tim Naylor, Editor of the BCA Used Car Market Report. '70% of car owners admitted they had taken steps to cut their car operating costs. Many are changing the way they drive to maximise their fuel efficiency.' BCA data reveals that motorists are trying different ways to combat the financial pressures including altering the way they drive (17% drive more slowly to conserve fuel), avoiding heavy breaking (16%) and opting for more fuel-efficient models.

    The Historic Racing Drivers Club will present a package of races in 2012 to celebrate 50-years of the MGB as a competition car. After an approach by Barry Sidery-Smith - the acknowledged 'Godfather' of MGB racing in the UK - the HRDC will host a collective of 30-minute, single-driver races for FIA-Appendix K-type historic MGB cars, with an invitation class for historically interesting MGB-derived race cars, such as the WSM MGB and the Jacques Coune-built MGB Berlinette.
