Last-of-line Nissan Micras roll up at Motorpoint

Some of the last-ever British-built Nissan Micras have arrived at Motorpoint's showrooms - and there are savings to be had.

The last cars rolled off the line last week and its replacement is no longer going to be built in Britain, as the Sunderland factory needs the space for the new Nissan Juke. After 18 years, 2.3m cars and one model change, production of the Micra is being moved to India

And, to mark the occasion, the car supermarket giant is selling the 1.2 80 Visia 3dr version of the iconic compact supermini with delivery miles for only £6,799 - nearly £1,600 off the list price.

Motorpoint also has the slightly older although higher specification 1.4 Tekna 3dr starting from only £5,799 - over £6,400 off the list price.

Says David Shelton, Managing Director of Motorpoint: "We thought we would mark the end of an era with even bigger savings on the last-ever British-built Nissan Micra. But, you will have to hurry, as we are expecting them to go very quickly as this price."
