• Yaris Vs Zoe - Used Yaris - £5-£6k or Renault Zoe £10k 7 May 2021 (Forum)
  I would like to purchase a reliable hatchback and I was considering a battery owned Renault Zoe, but do you agree correct a used Yaris will hold it's value better?  If it's a Yaris are there any models more suitable than others?  The car is being used for school runs and drop offs, about 7000 per annum mileage, 5 door, A.C would be a nice to have.

  hi, ive just bought a 2005 Renault scenic grand today, on the way home from the garage i noticed the computer said "check parking brake", i went straight back to the garage, and was told that when it went through its pre sale service the computer wasnt reset, and to drop it back for the day so they could reset it, i was just wondering if this was correct, as ive had a lot of problems with electronics on cars before, appreciate anyones info, regards alan

  Hi I'm looking to buy my first car and I thought you might be able to help me as I'm not very knowledgeable about cars.I've got a budget of £1300 and I've narrowed it down to these cars; Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 Active 5dr Vauxhall Corsa 2006/07 renault clio 2006/07   Any advice would be greatly appreciate. Plus any others that you could recommend.

  I have a Renault Kangoo 1.5dci van that since buying used 6 months ago has had this most annoying fault. Completely randomly the service light and airbag light will illumiinate together, sometimes staying on for hours, other times for seconds.

  Renault very kindly let us have a new Laguna all last weekend. It was a 1.5Dci and yes I was very impressed with it. Smooth quiet and incredibly economical. Our 4 year old Mazda MPV is beginning to cost money and my wife (who drives the Mazda) would like a change.

  Hi, I have never owned a renault but looking at the above, 130k on the clock cambelt done at 90k nearly full service history 1 owner 4 news tyres 2 key cards pretty much spotless inside and out 3months warranty £1000. Is this worth it I know nothing about them it drives very well and every thing works as it should.

  This has caused me on one instance to call out the AA, when he turned up it started! It has been to a Renault dealership and they have found no fault and no fault "recorded" on the computer. Am I about to be let down by this fault? The car has been dealer serviced from new and the warranty expires this month!

  The central locking button by the hand brake does'nt unlock it either. Could it be a case of a WD40 injection or should I go to my Bank manager for a loan to get a Renault garage to sort it out?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Hi all I am trying to fix a problem with a Renault Megane it is a complete non-start turns over but doesn't fire. Scanner is rading fault 57 1+4 coil circuit fault. i have swapped coils & plugs from another vehicle but still non-start. checked for spark & have a very weak spark. checked wiring & had ECU tested.

  I have recently bought myself a 2000 (W) Renault Laguna 1.6 16v. Having spent some time finding the right one I found they often sound like the exhaust is blowing from the manifold (my one included). This is especially noticable when the car is cold but is still there once the car has warmed up.

• Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 02 1.5 dci 80 Loss of power! 5 Jul 2009 (Forum)
  No power at low revs unless the revs got to 3,200 rpm then the turbo came back into play and everything seemed normal. Fifth gear at motorway speeds was a waste of time. Local (non Renault) garage diagnosed the problem as the ERG (intermittent notice on the diagnostics) although the car is now working ok (Typical). No warning lights at all! Any ideas??? Thanks Scott

  I wanted to get one and have seen them on ebay but i read somewhere that although they look the same (i think its a standard renault model for clio/megane etc) but that sometimes depending on the age of the model it came out of the connection can be different. I dont wanna get one of ebay if its the wrong one? slt

  Hi does anyone have the timing belt diagram for a 2005 renault megane 1.5 dci...The alternator belt shredded into the timing cover and caused the timing belt to jump and no matter how we try we cannot get the marks to line up using the locking pins..Has anybody else had this problem and if so what is the answer....The car was still running but noisily and there was no misfire and no exhaust smoke after the belt had jumped.....Thanks Jim

  First of all it is a renault master that i have (camper van) and the problem is that recently i have the red battery light coming on for quite a while----i toured scotland last year and it was on for most of the trip. i fitted a new battery, fan belt, and a new alternator but it still comes on.

  Can anybody tell me how easy (or how difficult) it would be to replace the rear bumper on my partners Mark I Renault Clio? Some kind soul crashed into the back of her and cracked it then drove off, no structural damage fortunately just the bumper itself. I've been offered a second hand bumper for next to nothing so I was wondering if it is a possible DIY effort or is it too much trouble even attempting this myself.

  I bought a 2nd hand Renault Megane 2 months ago and it had a service history that included a replacement cam belt in Oct 2007. The car has been making a squealing noise when I start it up in the morning and yesterday felt as though I was losing power which I thought was the cam belt.

  i have a renault laguna privalige 1.9dci on a 52 plate .the problem is when i set off it sounds like i have a hole in the exhaust.but at ideling no sound.Took it to garage he said he could not find anything wrong with it.i have read about turbo probs,no black smoke coming out of exhaust,no flat spot anyone help {don't worry, I'll add the year & engine to the subject header, seeing as you missed the 3 requests asking to do this yourself!}
