02 1.2 CD players- age related connection issues ? - hugomckoff
Hi i've got a 2002 clio expression and it doesnt have a cd player. I wanted to get one and have seen them on ebay but i read somewhere that although they look the same (i think its a standard renault model for clio/megane etc) but that sometimes depending on the age of the model it came out of the connection can be different. I dont wanna get one of ebay if its the wrong one?

Probably a bit late now as your message was posted in 2008 :)

but the CD Player on Renault Clio 2001-2004 all work regardless of whether it is a Expression, Authentique, Dynamique, Extreme model etc and also regardless of the engine sizes. The wiring on all the Different Renault Clio that goes into the CD/ Cassette player are the same, Generally speaking they have a black plug and a white plug and your aerial cable.

Make sure when you purchase CD Player off ebay it comes with the security code, because without the code you will have an additional expense in purchasing the code.
