Overall reliability

Unexpectedly reliable, although it has its quirks

Bought when six years old and it has given me 40,000 miles of relatively reliable and inexpensive(!) motoring.

Very tall - it needs steps for the passenger - but very spacious and holds a huge amount of luggage if you load it up to the roof...

Driving it is not the great experience you would expect from a Range Rover - the steering is a bit stiff and inaccurate and the ride on poor tarmac can be uncomfortable - although off-road on dirt lanes is very comfortable at speed.

The BMW M62 engine has been reliable so far, the only replacements needed were one suspension airbag, new radiator and header tank, PCU breather pipe, water pump. After learning my lesson with the LR dealers (s******s) it is now serviced at independent LR specialists.
