After 83 years Autocar has carried out its 5,000th road test – the Buggati Veyron Super Sport. To mark the occasion they have produced a special edition (and priced it accordingly). Various articles include “The history of the road test”, their “50 greatest road tests” and a retest of the first car they tested – an Austin Seven Ruby. I have only thumbed through it so far but it should keep me occupied for many hours.

In some ways I prefer picking up one of their annual road test compilations from the 60s/70s and going through them (must be getting old). But they are getting expensive now .
