What cheap automatic car do you suggest?
I am due to have hip replacement surgery sometime in the near future. I have a Peugeot 3008 manual at present. I am looking for a small automatic car that I can use in the initial recovery period for short journeys. As my wife and I look after a 4 year old, we preferably need a 4 door vehicle with a price below £2500. Do you have any recommendations?

A Honda with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) would probably fit the bill. They're reliable and although CVT automatics aren't for everyone, it's not as much of an issue if this is more of a temporary option. You have a few choices in that budget and it all depends on what size/shape of car you want. You might find a Honda CR-V slightly easier to get into while you recover, but if you'd rather not a compact SUV, there are also plenty of Honda Jazz and Honda Civic CVTs available for that budget.
