Ford Mondeo Titanium 2007 X TDCI A - Ford Mondeo Titanium 2007 X TDCI A - dremario

I hope someone here know the answer to this question. I bouth a Ford Mondeo Titanium 2007 X TDCI A a couple of days ago. However the service book is lost. I can establish at what milage the cambelt needs to be replaced. I have phoned more than 10 autorised Ford dealers only to get conflicting information.

Some say the car has a chain. Some say it has a cambelt and it needs replacing every 200 000 km, others every 62 500 miles and others every 100 000 miles. Who should I trust?

Its not difficult to look under the bonnet and tell whether it has a chain or cambelt. But judging by the fact you cannot buy a cambelt for this model on ebay I would thing it is chain driven.

If it's a 2.0 TDCI it's a cambelt and I'm pretty certain it's every 6 years or 72K miles.

As detailed in ETIS for a 2.0 TDCI 02/2007 ->

Camshaft drive belt, tensioner and idlers Every 125 000 miles/10 years - Renew (LTS 21 304 9 and 21 306 5)
