Ford Mondeo II - Slipping Clutch - no frills

Hi, this is my first post, My clutch was slipping on the motorway, in 5th when I put my foot down on a hill. I hope to get a couple of months or so doing steady city driving, and then scrappage towards my first ever new car, avoiding paying £350 on a clutch which will be scrapped. I would like to ask how long or how many miles other drivers have had out of a clutch after they first noticed it slipping. Thanks for reading any any replies are much appreciated.

Hasn't the scrappage scheme ended now?

I did about another 10,000 on a diesel Citroen XM, it will only wear severly if you let it slip, ease off as soon as it starts slipping or don't drive it in a way that makes it slip, and it could last a long time.

Yes the scrappage deal has ended so I'll have to look at my options again. I am driving the car gently and seems to be biting fine with general driving, I,m just gonna make sure I get it straight in if it starts slipping with general easy driving. Might be best looking for my replacement car sooner than I had planned, thanks
