The engine warning light flashed on this morning on my less than a week old Fiesta.
It only came on for a couple or three seconds and the car seems to drive OK. Its has done less than 500 miles so I am a bit concerned.
Should I be worried or just keep going and see if it happens again

Keep driving it, thats what the dealer will tell you to do. If it comes on and stays on then go to the dealer.

If there will be a fault code, I would insist the dealer gets this read under warranty. A simple fault now may come to haunt you in the future when the warranty expires.

As said, if the light comes on and stays on, then you have to worry about it.
The light has to remain constantly lit for a period of time for a fault code to be stored.
A brief flicker or flash of the light is nothing to worry about.

Just a thought there is enough oil in the engine? easily missed on the pdi it's not too low?
