Firstly check that the ride height is correct, the arm should be approximatly parrellel to the ground, if it is right up or down it will be hitting the bump stops. If this is the situation check the plastic link that connects the height corrector valve with the rod from the anti roll bar, it may be broken. Another possibility is that the height corrector is stuck in which case a few daily applications of WD40 to the linkage should free it off.

If the suspension height is correct and the suspension is still hard you need new rear spheres, about £22.00 each from GSF.

If the car looks "level" when it's sat on the road then the rear spheres have gone. They are more difficult to change than the front and there is a technique to removing them. Have a look at www.frenchcarforum.co.uk for more information.

The fluid level is checked with the engine running and the suspension on its highest setting. The disc should then be between the two lines. If it's about right then I would leave it until new spheres have been fitted. Overfull doesn't seem to matter until the LHM fluid sloshes out on bends.

Drive a little carefully until you have sorted it out, the tyre side walls are taking all the shocks and loads from the road at the moment.
