Should have bought an Citroen XM. Then the driver would be used to this kind of of event.
Oh, and it could have dumped 10 ltrs of LHM on the tarmac.

Not bitter at all are you?

no, just trying to drive used prices down even further by a rumour campaign...
What economy did you get on yours, terry, owing and solo?
If it was the 2.1, any head gasket problems.

First one got around 40 solo, high 20s towing 1300kg.
Second one not so good, 35 solo, low to mid 20s towing.
Used to have full mpg records, but hard disk failure put paid to that!
No gasket problems, but the second one did dump a load of LHM on the drive when new - some french production line worker failed to tighten a union properly. So much for pdi!

Only if someone was in the back opening up half a dozen extra bottles! XMs and other hydro-cits do rather a lot of miles per litre of lhm - and don't take many litres to fill up. How much greener can you get than that? :)

You know Citroens make sense in an up-and-down world......

Dunno - I was doing 70 at the time so I couldn't look that closely! Smoke looked more petrol than diesel though.
