Y reg - boot handle fallen off - BigDunc
Hi all,

The boot handle on my car has fallen off. I have the handle and can still use it to open the boot but the mechanism that used to hold the handle in place has broken so it falls out pretty much every time the boot is shut.

From the look of the handle I am guessing that it was held in place by a small rubber ring that fitted round the end of the shaft (the part is roughly T shaped with the cross-piece being the grip and the down-piece being the part that triggers the release mechanism.

Can anyone confirm that this is the case? And can it be replaced or is it a sealed unit?
