I have just created on the works computer a new 4x4 tyre size from Pirelli. It is a 325/35r28 120v Scorpion Zero Assimetrico. There is no typing error on the rim size. I am told that Pirelli are making the first batch of about 100 tyres in the next couple of weeks. Knowing what a savvy brigade roomers are I know there is "bound" to be a big demand and I am making sure that roomers are first in the queue. No pushing or shoving please ! and although I will not show any favouritism I will in fact let Adam{p} be first as I particularly like his posts.I note that today that Aprilia has made a post concerning certain off road capabilties of the X5, roomers can rest assured that the tread pattern of this tyre has very similar off road capabilities. I know that price is irrelevant to such an affluent association as "the room" but just in case the Platinum card is a little full roomers should be aware that the price is a mere £815.99 each, ie a set of 4 is only £3263.96. OK if you push me for a deal I will knock off the .96p. This is the most expensive normal road tyre I have ever heard of. MODS sorry for the advert but I am sure that you will understand how "vital" this info is for all on this site.

If anyone has clue what this is about then please post fast, cos I don't have a clue and it's either going to drop off the bottom or get removed pdq...

I think he means he has found/designed some absolutely HUGE wheels for a 4x4 that no-one will ever want except possibly with spinners. Shame Michelin are wasting money on this when they could be designing F1 tyres to last better than they did at Indianappolis.

Sorry, meant Pirelli. Why dont they try their hand at F1 thought?

At that price I hope they're regroovable!

I'm trying to imagine them on the Escort...

That's 325mm wide (I feel so inferior with my 195s), 35% profile height (regular low profiles are around 55%?) and to fit on a 28 inch diameter wheel.

So from the side it'll look like a rubber band stretched over a barrel, and from behind it'll look like both rear wheels have been replaced by a single tube of Rolos stretching across the car.

I'm sure that in 20 years time, there'll be Kwick Fit adverts in the paper for budget versions, like there is now for 165x13 Fiesta tyres...
