Any ideas how to clean out 'fan' jets on a 2001 Passat?
They are not totally blocked yet. I admit to not using the special expensive VW washer stuff all the time.

Just to depress you - I never found a way to clean mine and had to buy a new one -£18 !!!

Not sure how similar VW washer jets are to those on a Vauxhall but I've cleaned out my partially blocked washer jets by using my son's high power water pistol. It's more like a rifle and has a pump action to pressurise the water - I'm sure you know the sort. A few well aimed squirts directly down the metal nozzle of the washer has cleaned away any blockages with no dismantling. A thumb over the end of a hose might do the same, but I would have thought a pressure washer lance would be too powerful.
