could anyone tell me if a stiff accelerator pedal is common on meganes. mines takes a bit of effort to press down and feels heavy compared to other vehicles. could anyone tell me if all meganes are like this, or if its my cable or throttle thats seized. cheers

Which Megane have you got?
My S-reg Megane has a reasonably average sort of pedal feel I would say. Though there is a little stop screw on the throttle body which can sometimes come out (it has on mine!) which can make the initial movement a little sticky.

I have a 1996 1.4, the throttle pedal just feels what I would call normal. I'd agree with the others - stick in a new cable & the problem is 99% likely to go away.
