I have a 3-year-old Vauxhaull Astra which has a rumbling sound which seems to be coming from the clutch area. It only seems to occur when on the move and it gets louder between 2000 - 3000 revs. I have had someone look at it but they couldn't find anything wrong. He didn't think it was anything major. Has anyone had the same problem or can advise. Thanks

By clutch area, do you mean the pedal, or the clutch bell housing?
If it sounds like it's coming from the underside of the car then it could be exhaust resonance. Not sure on the newer Astra's, but on the older ones there is a bracket that holds the exhaust on toward the rear of the engine and the rubber bush can tear/split causing a rattle/rumble.

I had this same problem with my vectra SRi,
I ended up changing all four wheel bearings, it turned out to be a crappy cheap noisy tyre!!!
Hope this has helped
