I've spent so much cash fixing this thing up that I might as well go the whole hog and see if I can get some more power out of it.
It's the best drive I've had for years. All ideas welcome. One good thing is that it already looks like the MI16, just different badges on the back, plus I took the spot lights bumper off and got a plain one as they can be a liability when you drive like I do.....

Dear Diary,
Being a party to the Backroom, I'm never ceased to be amazed,
not only to the to the diversity of knowledge & experience on offer, but also the nostalgia created in some of the threads and posts.
I have an inner glow of fond memories of my classroom days when a task was to tackle a piece of writing, where the challenge was to add your own grammar and punctuation marks in order to make sense of it all. An additional joy was to correct errant spelling.
It is reassuring (or is it ?) that an increasing number of correspondents are thus providing this challenge today and opening up a hitherto long-forgotten experience to us all.

Not sure any of you have come across PocketGamer.org before - it's my site, but I modified the swear filters to correct spelling.
"u" => you
"wot" => what
"coz" => because
"sum" => some
"cud" => could
"ur" => your
etc.
It's worked a treat - maybe Honest John should consider it here? ;) Incidentally, I've been tempted to correct spelling as ND did, but wasn't sure about it being taken the wrong way...

Check out Van Aaken Developments (vanaaken.com). They produce and sell a wide range of diesel tuning chips, devices, paraphernalia etc., and I've seen good reviews of their work in magazines, including MP (in doc's waiting room, of course...).

There is a company based near me that specialise is tuning Pug's. Unfortunately I'm near London and I gauge from your post that you are from oop North somewhere. If you want I could call in next week and ask if they know of any tuners etc up your way.
Let us know where you are as they may know of someone near you.

Add LPG conversion, 40% up on power but very costly, I think it's about £7000 to £12000 to do.
