Anyone know who's offering the cheapest basic car check at the moment? I know there are several companies offering a similar service.

Depends how much info you need and if you want compensation if it goes wrong. I used www.carwatchuk.com/ when I bought mine. Was 9.99 last year, but now 15 quid. Missing is outstanding finance - the hpi/equifax outfits charge the extra for this.
I've had a couple of freebie checks done by a largish dealer for cars that have had nothing to do with them - possily in the hope something would show up and then I'd be a punter for him.
