Vw Tiguan - New vehicle on dockside prior to lockdown - senschu
Hi
I ordered a new vehicle ( VW Tiguan) in March of this year and it managed to get from factory to dockside in Germany.
It has remained there ever since
The vehicle was built in February of this year, and I am likely to see it arrive in the showroom around July.
What issues do you think this long term non use will cause, personally I don’t particularly want a NEW car that is six months old when I take delivery
Any other issues?

Would not have thought so - cars can spend months coming from overseas on ships and then a while waiting when they get off without any issues

Tyres are usually 60+lbs/sq in pressure when they leave factory

Thousands of cars can spend weeks or months in storage areas in the 'normal' run of things, as demand fluctuates. Perhaps your car may have spent a bit longer than is common, but it may have been better off in Germany than in the UK during the current long warm spell.

It should be prepped correctly after arriving in this country, so when you get it, just check that has happened.
