Does anyone know how to get the instrument panel out of a 1994 Renault 21 Savannah?

I need to replace some of the warning lights & can't remove the instrument panel shroud. I've got to the bit where Mr. Haynes says to remove the 4 screws and ease the shroud out. It won't ease out and seems to be rigidly fixed into the fascia at the bottom. I've undone everything and am stumped. Anyone know? Any enthusiasts web-sites where one could find obscure data like this?
