The Telegraph article that discusses this also mentions that for some reason it's the SE model that is mainly affected. They don't say why the lower 'S' model isn't affected, nor why the higher spec SE Sport or Sport models aren't (the S and SE are available in 1.2 and 1.4L models, the higher spec models just in 1.4 according to reviews).

The article says that the Honda CR-V, Toyota Prius and Toyota Auris (though not which versions or model years) are also susceptible to similar thefts.

Indeed, possible cat theft has pretty well ruled out the Auris Hybrid estate for us (Toyota hybrid cats especially desirable apparently), i'd already planned to have steel wires welded parallel to the cat to make it as difficult as possible for low lifes, razor wire probably against some law or other.
