Qashqui 1.5 diesel - Qashqui 1.5 diesel 2010 crankshaft bolt. - sparky100

Hi, could any tell me if it is a normal thread on crankshaft bolt. I am about to change cambelt on the qashqui but can't seem to find out if it is a reverse thread or normal one. Don't want to be struggling and turning the wrong way. Thank's for any info. Sparky100.

If I recal it's regular lefthand thread so anticlock to get off.

BUT lord is it tight,

I had to buy one of those crankshaft lockers that go in through the starter motor aperture.

Teethed beastie that engages in the ring gear.

I think you mean it's a right-hand thread if you are turning it anti-clockwise to loosen?
