Do I have to attend a speed awareness course in the same place I was caught speeding?

I have received in the post a Notice of Intended Prosecution for doing 35mph in a 30mph zone. As I was some 75 miles from home at the time, if I'm offered a speed awareness course, could I attend locally or do I have to travel to their county?

If you're offered a speed awareness course you will have the opportunity to select an online course, rather than attending in person. This will be similar in length and cost (usually about 3 hours) but will save you travelling.
