Nissan Note - Buying a Nissan - Dr-straightup
At present, I've owned a Micra for 10 years now. I'm going up to a Note as the Specs and the extra leg room for passengers appeals to me. The Nissan dealer is having a 2012 1.4 N-Tec petrol brought over from a different branch this coming Thursday 21st April. Cost: £6995 and 20k on the clock. We'll get about £450 off from our Micra 2004 66k miles. Which, knocks it all down to 6.5K.
Since reading that this site, and like the Micra, have chain cam belts and slightly less extra on our insurance... I was wondering if it sounds a decent buy? I know there's always going to be a bit extra from a main dealer but, I like the idea of buying from them rather than backstreet dealers or privately.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

There's some software on here now to help you work that out. It's under the heading Pricing at the top of this page. I've not used it before, but this is the result I got from the information you've given:

Nissan Note - Buying a Nissan - daveyK_UK

its a good car and better than the new shape Note in many ways, but the price is very high.

i would not want to pay more than £5.5k

Echo that - £7,000 for a 4 year old Note sounds too rich for me.

If your Micra is in good order I would try & flog it privately after buying the new car - lots of demand for cars under £1,000 a well looked after small car - learners, first cars, runabout....
