hi. Yesterday i filled up my car with petrol and when i turned the key the enginge turned over but wouldnt start.I had to push it off the forecourt and then after 30mins or so it finally started. But it started first key. No staggered start just like normal. Could this be a fuel problem like the fuel pump etc. Please advise pretty baffled by this and dont really wnat to drive it too far incase it does it again.

But who'd want an iPhone? Now, had it been a Blackberry. :)
Flippancy aside, I agree with DP and Tack - Blighty is not as bad as it's painted.
Others around the world know this.
When border controls were relaxed, there was mass immigration into this country, not migration from it.
The front pads on my Toyota Avensis were changed during a service about 1000 miles ago. Over the last couple of days the front brakes have begun to squeak/squeal like an old bus. They do not squeak every time I use the brakes, just sometimes. Last night it appeared to be getting worse.
Should I be worried about this?
I am intending to go back to the garage where the work was done but a bit of fore knowledge would be nice.
Thanks

They haven't used enough copperslip when installing the pads nothing more than that.

There is a pickup often parked just around the corner from here with the reg A10 TOG. Change the T to a H and you might wonder if it had an internal 30mm Gatling gun.
Hi all,
Just a quick semi-hypothetical question, but what sort of knock would you say that a convertible really takes in the winter, for example, a BMW 320Cd Convertible that sells for £12K or £13K now in July would sell for roughly how much in December a week away from xmas?
It's the one thing that I never came across during my time in the trade and I am sort of curious as the more I look at the E46 convertible the more I start to covet one. :-)

I suppose if I did look at buying one the trick would be to find a seller that is desperate, possibly one with a baby, or a well timed divorce or emigration. :-)

Mine came on because of a leaky (newly replaced) waterpump. But in a 10-year-old car it could be anywhere in the cooling circuit, especially if coolant hasn't been regularly renewed. Possibly expensive ... but just top up the rad to the mark - or better, renew the coolant - and see what happens.

You cannot drive an HGV from 23.00 saturday to 24.00 sunday unless you have a special dispensation to carry fresh produce. This section of the A2 in fact all the A2 is the nearest you will get to a public race track you really need to be doing 170km to think about moving into the outside lane and especially sundays when you get all sorts of inexperienced drivers out for a drive.I think the days of the unrestriced sections are coming to an end but in the restriced sections it is rare to see people speeding because of the number of hidden movable cameras and unmarked police cars I think it should have made the point of people going to fast for the conditions because I very much doubt they were breaking the speed limit.
I rather like them, floating past on a light summer breeze, excited passengers in the basket. Something very English about the whole thing.
Sorry, re-read the post with my glasses on....it's BABOONS you're discussing !!!!!
I'll get me coat.

Fuel pump, fuel filter or blockage.
I rarely let my tank go lower than 1/4 full as there's years of sediment collected in there. Let it get too low and it's bound to start sucking it through the system and end up with a problem similar to you experienced.
