Hi Everyone,
My partner has had a 2003 Mondeo TDCI 130 for a year now. She has just told me that as from today every time she accelerates the fan for the heater comes on full blast even though there is no change in its setting on the display.
We drove back from London last night without any problems so this issue has arisen as of today.
Can anyone help us out as we are a bit perplexed!
Many thanks.

When it is cold codensation occurs inside the car after about 3miles and it difficult to clear.
Any ideas please. I 've had a quick look to see I there are any obvious leak into the cabin. Is it possible the drain from the cooling unit(evaporator) could be blocked? If so when is it and where does the drain come out? I checked the filter last year and it was bone dry. The carpets do not appear to be damp either.

I am looking to buy at auction and have looked at BCA Auction View.
Under the CAP & Glass's columns I understand the New: and Ret: abbreviations (but not the price differences!)but under CAP what does Cln: Avg: and Blw: mean? And under 'Size' what does 3+, 5+, 10+ mean.... does it mean there are 3/5/10 identical spec vehicles going under the hammer?
Apologies for these simplistic questions, but in my defence I do not work in the motor trade.

I have just re-read the original post. If you do not work in the motor trade you appear to be accessing the motor trade section of Auctionview. If you have somehow got into it by accident then fine, if you have stolen or borrowed somebody else's password and login you and they are breaking numerous parts of both BCA's and CAP/Glasses agreement.
As I said in my previous post you can't rely on them anyway - you need a proper paper or electronic guide to double check them. If you are using Manheim's system (which again you should not be accessing the trade section) this is less important as they are both more often correct and more comprehensive.

Well, somebody had to say it...;-)
I have recently bought my first car and it is an R reg Ka. It has started to bounce and judder along the road. It can happen at anytime regardless of speed, warmth of the engine and if I am changing gear or not.
Does anyone have any idea why it is doing this and what I can do to rectify it?
Thank you in advance for your answers. Read more
Thanks for all your answers.
Does anyone know where (online preferably) I can get a manual for this car?
Hi,
My daughter has just bought a 1.2 petrol polo. The engine cover appears to be loose and rattles making it sound like a diesel.
I cant for the life of me find out how it is fixed to the engine.
Anybody got any ideas please.
Thanks

On Saturday 20th I bought a 55 plate Mondeo from a fiat dealership. I have noticed a couple of times that when I start it, it starts but runs really badly. You have to switch it off and start it again. It's as though it wants to, or is on the verge of stalling - presing the accelerator doesn't clear it. It doesn't happen every time, perhaps 1 in 4 starts. I guess it could be that it's filters need changing, but I was told that they would service it before I took delivery.
Any ideas?
Altered the subject line for you to include the engine type. Do a forum search -------->
over there somewhere on the right you'll find oodles of useful info on this engine. Read more
Another update....
I've just been told that the car is back and ready to be picked up. They said it was a software problem with the engine management system!!! How that would effect the amount of oil in it I don't know. I have been told that it is ready to be picked up. Any suggestions. I'm not keen in taking on a lemon. I plan to run it's pink fluffy dice off this weekend to see if it has any problems.
Hi
The paint on the front bumper of my 97 Primera is a little flaky, all other paintwork is OK.
I'd like to get the front bumper resprayed. Is there anyone in the Eastbourne area that someone can recommend and how much should I be budgeting to have this done?
Thanks in advance, Chris. Read more

i think you're right. i,d reccomend you get a haynes manual, have a sneaky look in halfords or borrow one from a main public library.
A bit of advice for anyone who hasn't used the long-stay car park at Stansted for a little while - as I hadn't. The lettered zones now appear to be grouped into different colours so, when you leave the airport, make sure that you get on a bus which is destined for the appropriate colour group - and not the first 'long-stay' bus that you see. This caught SWMBO and I and several other couples out on Friday when returning from holiday.
The bus driver, of course, treated the situation with all the customer-courtesy you'd expect from a bunch of folks selected on the basis of utter surliness! Read more
When all else fails, read the instructions!!!
Fortunately, although my 03/03 Focus has climate control, the aircon and heater can both be used manually. There is, however, a button which will bring in the cooling to (allegedly!) assist screen demisting. One of my main dislikes of the climate control is that it has a mind of it's own regarding fan speed and can produce icy blasts at max fan speed when I'd rather it didn't.
