Anyone know where I can get hold of a power and torque graph for my Omega 2.5? I'm basically interested in where I will find peak torque. Academic query only.
I've had a good look through the site and I can't find anything answering this.
Anyone know a website with this kind of stuff?
Thanks,

Has anyone noticed the new indicator and brake lights fitted to Range Rovers and London buses. They are so instantaneous and suddenly bright that you don't notice them. The more normal bulbs with a filament are much easier to see. Another triumph of form over substance? Read more
Managed to compare a generic red LED and incandescent bulb fed in parallel - it's a fairly crude measurement, as I don't run to a high speed camera, but in terms of 25th of a second the bulb is 2/25ths behind to virtually full brightness.
But, it was significantly illuminated by the first 25th after the LED - perhaps 20-30%.
So at 60 mph you cover 88 feet in a second.
88 x 0.08 = 7.04 feet.
Worth having.
However there's probably the issue of visual perception to consider on something which is instantly there, which might be what the OP was hinting at.
Whole can of worms...
Was been driven in a mate's brand new (well 5 day old) new shape Nissan Micra 1.2 today when it stalled, upon restarting it the car wouldn't manage more than 30 mph, and the engine was making a loud clattery, slapping noise and vibrating a lot in it's mountings, not a hpappy bunny at all.
The RAC came to the house and said that there was a lot of noise from around the inlet manifold, but as he couldn't fix, he dragged it off to the dealers. Still not sure what it was as he only got it to the dealers at about 5pm, so it probably won't get looked at until tommorow...
I'm pleased I bought a Ford now, so much more reliable :-) But I suppose in Nissan's defence, the RAC man said that this was the first time he had a new Micra go kaput all together, the only other one he attended was a battery problem...
Oh, and to give the RAC their due, they were there within 30 minutes...

I read with interest the many tales of poor economy, flatspots, bad or no starting, frequent software updates and fuel filter upgrades that have been required to the Mondeo TDCi (a few also mention similar probs with focus). As much as I'd love to go for one of the TDCis, the problems don't yet appear to be sorted? As the odd Mondeo TDDi pops up occasionally in places like Motorpoint I'd be interested to know if they were fairly trouble free in comparison to the TDCi. Anybody out there own one (TDDi)? If so, I'd love to hear your goods and bads - IE fuel economy, problems etc.
On a side note what about the 3 current diesels in the focus. Comments?

I've recently bought a Focus TDdi - fantastic. Ok, its isn't as powerful as the TDci units - but can be purchased a lot more cheaply (on average £2,000 cheaper), offers 90 bhp and 200 Nm. Ours averages 50 mpg around town and not much on a run as its difficult to keep the speed down!
I've driven the TDci Mondy and Focus - yes they are faster - but seem more complex and are more expensive.
Just my views .......
I have a problem with the cooling system on my wife's Suzuki Vitara:
The temperature just rises and rises towards the red and unless we stop or switch the heater on to get rid of some of the heat the system boils over.
I have looked at the Haynes manual to see what the problem is and tried the test of pinching the upper radator hose to see if the pump is working or not but can't seem to feel the surge of pressure that one should as the hose is released.
I think that this could be that the pump is not working or that the thermostat may be stuck closed as I can't see any drop in temperature as I would expect when it opens... the temperature just rises all the way. I have tried tapping the housing to no avail. Can I run the car without a thermostat? ...and is there anything else to try before getting it to a garage. (replacing pump costs about £150)
Any suggestions? Read more
There's nothing to go wrong with the pump, as it's not a pump as such, merely some 'blades' on a wheel that paddle the water around. I would imagine it's the thermostat stuck shut, or the radiator's all blocked up with limescale.
Check for cold spots on the rad, and see if the top and bottom hoses are hot. If they are, then the thermostat is probably open. If the rads all cold in the middle, then you need a new one. Don't bother wasting money trying to flush it, as it'll be solid.
Anybody know if there are plans to bring out a new VW passat ?

Should be next year, as this year's big mainstream VW launch (i.e., nor Touareg or Phaeton) is the Golf in the autumn.
Probably on the continent in the spring, UK in the autumn, I'd guess.
Hi,
I've got a 1991 Citroen AX. 2 weeks ago the radiator cooling fan stopped working. I've replaced the fuse and it was fine, but tonight the fuse went again.
Replaced it again, and all seems fine (coming on when the engine gets hot, not on all the time, turning off when it's cooled down), but I don't fancy doing this every 2 weeks.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
Cheers
P.S.
30A fuse. Read more
The fan works okay once I've fitted a new fuse, so I thought it might just be shorting out somewhere, but if that's what happens when the motor burns out, then I'll get a new (old) one.
How specific are cooling fans? Will any citroen do, or does it have to be an AX?
Cheers
Could anyone please tell me the correct way of fitting these. Thank you. Read more
Does anyone have a soloution to wind noise coming from what seems to be the front middle to passenger side of my new (3 wk old) 307?
It is more noticeable when sitting as a driver than a passenger. Tried shutting off all air inlets and switching off the ventilation/AC completely.
Seems like it is is coming from the windscreen. Whilst someone else is driving, I've tried the door shuts, but that creates a different noise then stops when I leave them alone, so not that!
Not sure is someone knows if it is a windscreen seal or the front air inlet vents at the bottom of the screen.
Any suggestions would be greatfully received. Read more
hi there. i know your posting on this issue was a few years ago, but it sounds like the same problem that i am now experiencing with my 206. did you find out the cause?? have had 2 mechanics look at it so far but no joy and the noise is getting really annoying now!!
He is right SC do have power graphs - but look under Opel also
