DS Reviews

New Cars
Good: High quality interior. Great 1.6 THP 165 petrol engine with six-speed gearbox. Wide engine range. Drives, rides and handles well.
Bad: By 2014, older direct injected 1.6 THP 150 were starting to suffer problems with turbo water pump and coking up of valves.
Good: As enjoyable and as good to drive as the DS3 hatchback. Roof can be folded and unfolded at speeds up to 70mph.
Bad: Small and inaccessible boot. Not quite a true cabriolet. Poor rear visibility with roof down.
Good: Unique styling and a high quality cabin. Standard equipment includes DAB and navigation. Good range of engines.
Bad: Uncomfortable due to hard ride quality. Tight for rear seat passengers. Rear windows don't open and come to a point.
Good: More stylish alternative to the C5. Impressive interior. Much better from 2015.
Bad: No Hydractive suspension on the DS model that really should have had it. Very poor ride quality especially on 19-inch wheels, improved from 2015.
Good: First SUV from DS brand. Very luxurious. Very Parisian. In keeping with DS heritage, high spec versions ride on Active Scan suspension that reads the road ahead and adjust the suspension accordingly. Hybrid from 2019.
Bad: Not the breathtaking innovation that the original DS of 1955 was. Active Scan with 45 profile tyre rides no better than normal model on 55s.
