I've been caught speeding - is there anything I can do?

I've just received a letter from the police saying that i was caught (by a camera van) doing 81mph on a motorway in Scotland. From memory, the road was pretty dry, the sun had just come out and there was only about 2 cars within half a mile of me. Is there anything i can do on this matter?

There's nothing you can do, but if they offer you a 'speed awareness course' rather than a fine, take it even if it means losing a day of your annual leave. Better that than points.
