Looking for a diesel with good economy - suggestions?

I am looking for 2.0 diesel car with good MPG and comfort . And how bad is BMW rear wheel drive during winter times?

I averaged 63mpg over a winter from a BMW 320dED which was on 205/60 R16 non runflat Energy tyres and had no trouble, but also had no snow. If your are expecting snow, go for a BMW winter wheels and tyres package, from around £1,000.
