Passat TDI cutting out

I bought 2008 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI Sport and last week it cut off while I was driving without any warning light.

I called the AA and they couldn't find any fault and they sprayed easy start and it started.

That has happened a few times before. Has anybody got any idea whats wrong with my car or has somebody had a similar problem?

Well it may be best to have a complete diagnostic check carried out asap, as this should then show up a fault code, i.e. P---- 4 numbers. This should then identify what the problem is.

It could well be one of the sensors ie CKP (crankshaft position sensor) or APP (accelerator pedal position sensor).

But firstly check all your fuel lines/ filter for any loose connections, also the air/ vacuum pipes again for loose/ bad connections.
