Ford Focus air con playing up

I have a 52 plate Ford Focus chic my problem is with the air con.

Everything is fine with the air con until the car is up to temp, then it switches itself off and then on again and keeps doing this until I turn it off.

It plays around with the revs as well to where it nearly stalls when it turns off.

The a/c is clutched and takes its signals from the temp dial in the car. So either the a/c electric clutch is faulty or the temp switch is.
