If the existing battery is an Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) type then you must replace it with the same type, but if it has an Enhanced Flooded Battery (AFB) or Enhanced Cycling Mat (ECM) battery then you can replace it with the same type or use the more sophisticated AGM type.
