my reverse light is not working on my 51 reg Arosa even though i have put a new bulb in .... help needed please as my MOT is coming up

Relax; reverse lights aren't part of the MOT test.
I'm sure you will want them working though. I take it you've checked the fuses? No idea where the reverse switch is, but if you can locate it, then disconnect the wires and short together. If they then work, then the switch is the likely culprit.
