2000 1.4 petrol - epc fault, engine not starting - alihair2
I have a 2000 polo (56,000 miles) and recently it hasnt been starting properly:

First thing in the morning if will start fine, but after driving, leaving it for 5 mins (shopping etc!) it wont start back up again. It turns over but will not kick in. even with acclerator tapping. I have to leave the car for about an hour before it will start back up again. the epc light will come on when it does start up again as well. I'm totally confused...

Any help would be much appreciated

sorry, it's a petrol 1.4 engine. {added}

The coolant temp sensor would be a good first check.
