306 mad door locks - scfc_151
i have read recent threads on this subject but.......im just wondering what may be the most obvious causes of this problem?

I lock the doors via the key lock (remote doesnt work) they automatically pop up. I thought it may be the 'dodgey' door loom as ive had problems with electric windows.

This is a bit arkward to say the least to sort out so is there any way around this?

One of the sensors 'thinks' a door is open, so it unlocks them all. Nwo you need to track down which door it thinks is open and move on from there.

I had the same problem on our Citroen Xsara, (which is similar in a lot of ways to the 306) it was a damaged pin on one of the doors causing one of the doors to report it wasn't locked, so they all unlocked again. The fault was cured by just checking & re-seating the connectror.

had same problem the cause being a broken wire in connecting block on the door loom had to have new door loom.. also my friend had similar problem on a 206 this turned out tobe a faulty central locking actuator.....

I had a similar problem when a piece of cloth accidently got trapped between the two parts of the boot catch. Presumably it prevented electrical contact between the two parts and the car thought the boot was open. Not shutting the bonnet properly had the same effect.

Also similar problem...

I was working on the door inners and when putting the bits back together the button used for locking from the inside was stuck in the up position and kept the door from locking.
