E class 2016 a good line - Tyre pressure - barney100

Silly problem. Tyre pressures are in Kps...kpa 235/35/19 and 255/30/ 7r19 front and rear respectively. F270, r300. This works out pretty high in psi unless I,m missing something...not unusual. Any thoughts before I resort to the dealer?

I make that c39 and c43psi - is that the setting for fully loaded? My S-Type on similar tyre sizes is 31psi all round.

Does seem quite high, but my Pug 207 on smaller higher aspect-ratio tyres has 35psi front and rear, so I guess that might be right.

I worked it out to the same as you but I've never had a car with anything over 38 psi (current V70) so was al little wary wary of my maths, thanks for the reply and I'll check if it's fully loaded. (Should be AMG line not good line)

Read the tyre pressure label carefully, on the mercs i've owned (all 124's so nothing modern) the tyre label gives pressures, but when you read it more carefully it says if you are running at less than some continual high autobahn speed or less than fully loaded to drop the pressures...some 4psi for the 124's we had.

Drones use their motors to do beeps, but it can also do different tones. It switches on the required frequency without turning the motor.

It can get pretty loud and I dont understand what is producing the sound. Is it like a buzzer where the motor its

https://omegle.onl/elf vibrates at that frequency? And could it potentially be used as an instrument with many different notes or are there heavy limitations?vshare

Goodness knows what this is about but i suggest not clicking on the link!.

Regarding the thread, i use a small van for my work. Previous van was a 2006 Transit Connect with a CVW of about 2310kg. The recommended pressure (for heavy loads) was 50psi for the rear and 40psi on the front. My current 2010 Caddy, about 2200kg GVW, is 4psi less front and rear (though i actually keep them at the same pressures as the Connect). BTW, both use 195/65 15 tyres.

So 43psi for a big heavy car like an E Class doesn't seem outlandishly high to me. Especially if, as has been suggested, this recommendation was for fully loaded and/or high speed work.

The weight of the car is generally irrelevant as heavier vehicles use bigger tyres to cope with the weight - my diesel Touareg has a kerbweight of about 2,200 kg with normal tyre pressure of 33/33 with 43 psi being the full load pressures - so I'd suggest the OP has misread the tyre pressure sticker.

On the contrary, if the weight was irrelevant, there wouldn't be seperate pressure ratings for (AFAIK) every car for light loads and heavy loads, just like my two vans and, as you've just pointed out, your Tourag(!). Though it may well be the case that a fatter tyre requires less pressure for the same weight than a more modest sized tyre.

As to whether or not the OP has misread, a Google search of Mercedes Benz E Class tyre pressures gave me this (from an MB dealer regarding a 2017 E Class) as the first answer,

www.mercedesofsalem.com/blog/what-should-the-tire-.../

So Barney, you have read the figures right enough!. I'm guessing the higher figure would be high speed with a full load though.

Not every car. Our 2019 Honda CR-V Hybrid gives the same pressures for loaded and unloaded, as did our 2015 1.6 diesel. Both run/ran at 32psi front and 35psi rear IIRC.

Contacted the dealers and the pressures are...front 39psi/rear 43 to 50 psi depending on the number of passengers. why no difference on the front tyres I don't know.

.... why no difference on the front tyres I don't know.

Basically - I would assume - because the weight on the front is mostly motor (constant), while that on the rear is mostly load. Simples.

Sounds like a good reason.

Quite so. You can get a huge amount in the back of our old Focus estate which is why the tyre pressures for normal use with up to three persons is 32psi all round, but full load plus more than three persons is 33 front 46 rear.

Just thinking out loud, but is the car on stiffer/shorter springs than a regular M-B? If it is, could there be a case made tor matching the spring rate of the tyre to the spring rate of the suspension? And a more softly sprung car would have lower tyre pressures to suit?

E class 2016 a good line - Tyre pressure - daveyjp

I seem to remember my B class needed higher pressures than I considered typical. high 30s all round, over 40 for rears when loaded.
