Vauxhall astra van - Astra 1.7 cdti 09 won't start! - phil greensmith

Please help me!

Bought 09 astra van sportive 1.7 cdti. On way home the turbo blew up! Had it replaced n within a day or two it was struggling to start. I went to start it n it turns over n sounds like it gona catch but it just doesn't! I did bump it tho! I rang my mechanic he said the head was cracked! Don't know if it was or not.

He replaced the head and totally rebuilt the engine. Put it in n it still won't start! Code for crank sensor came up so fitted new 1. Still nothing! I did pedal test n got code of 033528. Apparently this is crank sensor agen! It will start with easy start! Any ideas? Is new sensor knackered? At end of my teather please help me!

Pedal test is ureliable.

quite possible the CAS is damaged from fitting.

but as it will start with easy start then the CAS is functioning.

I'd be looking at the rail pressure.

If the fuel pressure in the rail is low it will give yoyr symptoms,

as if the fuel supply pipes/filter is drawing air.

So start by checking the filter.housing for vacuum leaks wher it can draw air as opposed to the fuel it's meant to suck.

Had ecu tested 2day n it definitely not that! My mechanic now telling me it's the engine loom! But I just keep throwing money at it n getting no where! When he stripped down the engine, the injectors did have silicone round them! Could that have anything to do with the problem now or b an insight, it? Feel like taking my blow lamp 2it! He had it 8weeks I drove it 2wice b4 that!
